Alison Hui is an artist, illustrator, travel sketcher and doodler. She has a special interest in ethnic textile, symbols, architecture, and food. She believes colours and lines are mediums to express the beauty of different cultures, through a deeper observation.
She has spent years on different kinds of exploration with ink, watercolour and markers. Using these tools to capture the scenery and objects in her daily life or during adventures around the world. Artworks produced include drawings, portraits, urban sketch, food sketch, doodle. She keeps exploring the potential of various mediums, printing ,book binding technique and textile art to build her art pieces into different expressive forms.
